250th Anniversary Of The Battle Of Kemp's Landing Revolutionary War Skirmish In Virginia Reenactment

Full title: "The 250th Anniversary Of The Battle Of Kemp's Landing, The First Revolutionary War Skirmish In Virginia And The South With Reenactment Footage"

Yesterday, November 15, 2025, was the 250th anniversary of The Battle Of Kemp's Landing, the first Revolutionary War skirmish to take place in the state of Virginia and the overall South.  I travelled to Virginia Beach to spend time in the area, featuring the marker,  near the corner of Witchduck and Princess Anne where the battle is believed to have occurred and at City View Park where the reenactment was held.

Back Home.

When I go to different events, I stop in the tourist information centers to find brochures.  As I drove down 13 South, I saw the Virginia Welcome Center in New Church.  I was greeted by those in there and asked if I would like a Virginia 250 Passport.  I was then asked if I could have my picture taken by the VA 250 Passport table.  The picture was immediately uploaded to their FaceBook page.  As I was walking within City View Park, a Virginia 250 committee member recognized me from that photo.  My picture was taken in City View Park as well.  I was seen "on the way to" and "upon arrival at".  A very incredible moment.  Certainly, this is an example of one advantage in having social media technology.

Tomorrow, November 15, 2025, Is The 250th Anniversary Of The Battle Of Kemp's Landing In Virginia

My Friends: Tomorrow, November 15, 2025, is the 250th Anniversary of the Battle Of Kemp's Landing.  It was the first skirmish to take place in Virginia as part of the American Revolution.  I will be travelling to Virginia Beach for an observance at one location (the corner of Witchduck Road and Princess Ann Road) and a reenactment at another location (City View Park).  I hope to see many of you there.

Veterans Day 2025: Visiting The War Memorials In Magnolia, NJ

Today, November 11, 2025, is Veterans Day, Remembrance Day and Armistice Day in various parts of the world.  I have travelled to Magnolia, New Jersey to visit the War Memorials at The American Legion.  Present are the monuments for World War I, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War.  In addition to the memorials themselves, there are two areas of note.  You can see an additional name that was added later in the Korea section.  You can see multiple last names are represented here.

2025 Election Results. Democrats Done? Democrats Leaving The Party? Neither Happened.

Last night, there were several elections.  Last year, we were told that the Democratic Party was done.  This year, post murder of Charlie Kirk, we were told that Democrats were leaving the party.  This was all over social media - both claims.

Here are the results of the elections tonight.

In Pennsylvania, the Democrat incumbent won reelection.  

In New York, the Democrat won the election.

In New Jersey, the Democrat won the election.  Furthermore, five counties that the Republican won in 2024 have gone back to the Democrat in 2025.

In Georgia, not only did two Democrats win, the Democrats won against two Republican incumbents.  Furthermore, in an area where the Democrat received 56% of the vote last year, Democrats received 75.5% a year later.

In Virginia, Democrats won.

What happened to Democrats leaving the party?  What happened to the Democrat Party being done?

Democrats have actually GAINED since 2024 and the murder of Charlie Kirk.

Attending The South Jersey Coin Show In Lindenwold, NJ On November 02, 2025 Wearing A Buffalo Nickel Tie

Yesterday, I attended the South Jersey Coin Show in Lindenwold, New Jersey at the Lindenwold Moose Lodge.  It was the first coin show that I ever attended.  In honor of the occasion, I wore a Buffalo Nickel tie (my mother asked me if I have a tie for every event).  Very historic day for me - I had been waiting a long time to attend a coin show.  It was a great show.  I went in being quite open about what I wanted to purchase.  There was a twenty-year-old in attendance showing that the youth can be involved, if not totally enamored, with the coin hobby.  Below are the coins that I purchased.

Halloween Theme Track Layout At The Burlington Train Show On November 01, 2025

It is November 01, 2025, and I attended the Burlington Train Show earlier today.  My last visit to this event was way back in 2015.  It was a fantastic show.  I bought more at this one than any other train show before.  I walked around with bags and bags ... and people NOTICED.  As for the layout ... incredible.  It is the day after Halloween, and they put together a train layout with a Halloween theme.  I thought that it was a brilliant idea.  I have never seen a Halloween-themed train layout before.
