60 Years Ago, Tales Of Suspense 65 Debuted On Newsstands (First Silver Age Red Skull Appearance)

It is February 11, 2025.  On this day, 60 years ago, Tales Of Suspense number 65 debuted on newsstands.  The comic features the first Silver Age appearance of The Red Skull.  I purchased this at a store called "Riddle Me This" in 1995.  The owner had a sale: bin books were seventy-five percent off, and wall books were fifty percent off.  It was a wall book and tagged at $75.00 so I paid $37.50 for it.  It is a high grade copy so I am not going to fiddle around with it the way that I did with comic books in my previous videos.  A book that appeared on newsstands on February 11, 1965 is still in high grade.

The Devil's Footprints Discovered On Rooftops In February Of 1855 170 Years Ago Victorian Society

It is February 09, 2025.  On this day, 170 years ago, mysterious tracks were discovered on rooftops in multiple locations in England made on February 08 and 09, 1855.  These tracks are believed to have been made by The Devil.  I hold in my hands a bound volume of newspapers ... the issues for The Illustrated London News for the first half of the year 1855.  Three of these issues feature stories pertaining to "The Devil's Footprints".  The articles will attempt to explain this strange phenomenon.

Super7 ThunderCats Cats' Lair Review And Comparison To The LJN Cats' Lair 2020s Versus 1980s

This is a collaboration video.  A collector friend of mine received the Super7 ThunderCats Cats' Lair playset in the mail this week.  The playset is so large that it arrived in two boxes.  I took some pictures inside one of them.  I can actually fit inside of both.  This video features a Super7 Cats' Lair review and comparison to the original LJN version of Cats' Lair.  I compare it to a Mattel Castle Grayskull, Super7 Snake Mountain, Hasbro HasLabs Sail Barge, bootleg ThunderTank and Shogun Warriors Godzilla also.

A Shogun Warriors Godzilla next to the Cats' Lair.  Look at how small it is compared to the playset.  Hard to believe that the word small can describe a Shogun Godzilla.  Now it can.

Toy Display: Godzilla Rodan King Kong Mechagodzilla Ghidorah Mothra Gigan Godzooky 1960s 1970s 1980s

Here is a toy display with Godzilla, Rodan, King Kong, Mechagodzilla, Ghidorah, Mothra, Gigan, Godzooky and others.  I have five Shogun Warriors Godzillas.  Some are very much incomplete so I will customize one or two.  The boxed one I quickly added; it is always in the Shogun Warriors section.  I have owned the Godzilla and Godzooky plush toys since 1979 or 1980.  I have owned the Godzilla bendy since 1979 or 1980.  The Godzilla and King Kong Aurora model kits belonged to my brother in the 1960s or 1970s.  I found them in a cubbyhole in the basement in the 1990s.  Had I not retrieved them, they would have been thrown out.  I purchased the Imperial Godzillas at Kay Bee Toys in 1992 or 1993.  They still had the 1980s Imperial toys in stock.  I have the tags for them somewhere.  The yelling King Kong was purchased at a yard sale in the 1990s or early 2000s.  The Lanard King Kong that came out in 2016/2017 was a dream come true.  Many of us wanted a King Kong to display with the Shogun Godzilla.  As I find more related toys in boxes and bins, I will add them to the display.  I will throw any primate toy up there too.

Madballs Head Popping Action Figures AmToy 1986

Here are the Madballs Head Popping action figures made by AmToy (part of American Greetings back then) in 1986.  This is the full set.  Oculus Orbus I have had since childhood (1980s).  The Horn Head and Mad Rollercycle set were purchased together at a yard sale for $2.00 in or around the mid-1990s.  The rest were purchased from a collector friend and former co-worker in the early 2020s.  I keep these in the holding head position rather than keeping them inside of those posts because the mechanism may snap.  They look good this way.  Very, very cool.

You may notice the styrofoam packing.  I always take these pieces out of boxes for computers, shelves, appliances, etc.  They work out really well with the different levels and heights and thickness.  Really great - you can see the work.  The container was from one of those bargain outlets.  Perfect size to contain them.  The final shot is how I display the toys year round.

The Toy Box Chronicles #0007 February 03, 2025

February 03, 2025.  This is the seventh episode of The Toy Box Chronicles.  This box has not been fully investigated in roughly four decades.  It was buried in the attic.  I uncovered it in the 2010s.  I looked in the box to a certain extent.  Definitely not entirely.  Some huge surprises in this including a tough Star Wars piece.  These items extend back to my time in Germany or, more specifically, West Germany.  My Mother bought these toys and party goods and, later, boxed them up.

1775: The Indispensable Duty To Resist Force To Defend The Rights And Liberties Of America

It is February 01, 2025.  

This video is part of The American Revolution 250th Anniversary Series.  

On this day, 250 years ago, Britain acknowledged the intelligence pertaining to the convention held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  

Force leads to force as a response.  War between America and Britain is almost certain as each side marches toward Lexington, Massachusetts a quarter of a millennium ago.  

This publication, Gentlemen's Magazine, is dated March 1775.  It was issued in early April of that year.

Content of this kind will continue to be made this year all the way to 2033.
