The Rally For The Iranian Protesters Held In New York City On September 23, 2010

Once again, the streets of New York City were filled with protesters marching for their fellow Persian citizens in Iran, and demanding freedom and human rights for their friends and family back home. The alleged President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was in town, specifically at the United Nations. There were separate rallies (in some cases, by rival organizations) in various parts of the city. I walked from Rally to Rally informing people of my support to this very important cause. Civil War Reenactment At Historic Cold Spring Village In Cape May, NJ On September 11, 2010

This Reenactment took place on September 11 and 12 at the same location as last week's event, Historic Cold Spring Village. There was an excellent crowd on hand to watch the battle and partake in the villages delights. These jpegs are from the first day.

The band known as Camptown Shakers played some historic and fitting tunes after the battle. I even bought a few CD's from them!

Revolutionary War Encampment At Historic Cold Spring Village In Cape May, NJ On September 5, 2010

This encampment took place at the living history museum known as the Historic Cold Spring Village on September 4 and 5. The property features several old buildings that are still utilized as they were originally intended. These jpegs are from the second day.

Here you see the Union Jack along with the 13-Star Flag representing the Thirteen Colonies:

Here is a brief yet informative lesson on nails. This was posted on the door of the Blacksmith Shop, one of the only blacksmith shops still in use in America today.

Here is an Indenture (Legal Contract) from 1811. It is located in the tourist information building.

Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Day At Fort Mifflin In Philadelphia, PA Held On July 25, 2010

The Vietnam Veterans Appreciation Event was held at Fort Mifflin on July 24 and 25. Both Reenactors and actual Veterans of the conflict were on hand to give explanations and information about various circumstances of The War. There were several displays and exhibits offering visitors a look at authentic artifacts from the era. These included weapons, uniforms, supplies, wrappers from products, food packets and more. These photos are from the 25th.
