The Michael The Researcher YouTube Hall Of Fame Award Induction Ceremony 2025

It is December 31, 2025.  I am very pleased to present to you The Inaugural Michael The Researcher YouTube Hall Of Fame Award Induction Ceremony.  YouTube is now twenty years old.  YouTube has existed in twenty-one different years.  It is time to create a Michael The Researcher Hall Of Fame Award.  The first recipient of The Michael The Researcher YouTube Hall Of Fame Award is ... Michael The Researcher.  Who else?  The reasoning: I have posted content in nineteen of those twenty-one years of YouTube's existence.  I am not aware of who else has had that kind of longevity.  I am not sure who has posted in nineteen, twenty or twenty-one years.  This is a very attractive document.  Quite suitable for framing.  I am going to host this award ceremony once every five years.  I initially thought to host it once a year.  There are not enough people on YouTube to merit an annual award ceremony.  I am very happy to have received this prestigious award.

Note: With this blog entry, I broke my previous record of 75 posts within a year to 76.  2014 held the record for more than a decade.

YouTube's 20th Anniversary. What Was YouTube Like In The Beginning? I Was There.

2025 marks the 20th anniversary of YouTube.  Incredible to see that YouTube has been around for two decades now.  Many of us remember when it was a new website.

In those days, it was impossible to send videos to people due to the megabyte size in e-mail messages.  YouTube definitely solved that problem with the website link and url.

In addition, the embedding feature allowed me to post videos in my MySpace bulletins and elsewhere on MySpace.

What was YouTube like in the early days?  Who was on it?  YouTube was similar to the early internet with the web builders.  People would showcase their hobbies.  People would display their talents.  Some people posted crazy, wild, zany videos.  It was a platform where the little guy can put himself or herself out there and say, hey, this is what I do ... this is who I am.

YouTube content creators became celebrities early on.  The first whom I recall was a British World War II Veteran named Peter Oakley.

If that was not all, people engaged in arguments and fights and feuds in the early YouTube days as well.  Some of those videos were hilarious.

I created my first YouTube page in July of 2006.  That has been abandoned although it still exists.  I have no account access to it sadly.  I will be discussing that page more next year for my 20th anniversary on YouTube.  In all of my pages combined, and I have had a few, I have posted in every year of YouTube's existence minus 2005 and 2017.

I am sure that I am one of the very few who is still posting from those very early YouTube days.  My content has remained the same.  The same vibe.  The same theme.  Going to historical sites.  Showing objects and artifacts.  That will remain the same going forward.  I thank you for watching.  Happy Twentieth Anniversary To YouTube.

G.I. Joe Mike Power Atomic Man Action Figure 1975 To 2025 Hasbro Toy

First off ... YES, I know that I have some FrEaKy HaiR in this clip.

In this video, I present to you a photograph from fifty years ago.  I am holding a 12 inch G.I. Joe action figure of Mike Power: Atomic Man.  The photo was taken, most likely, on December 25, Christmas Day, 1975.  I discovered this photo in 2019 and was shocked to see that I was part of the original 12" G.I. Joe line from 1964 to 1976.  Absolutely extraordinary.  I waited six years for the 50th anniversary to publish it.  The Mike Power figure in the picture was given to my brother and either broke or was sold at a flea market some time later.  I purchased the Atomic Man in this post in, perhaps, 2018 so it is not the one in the photo.  Mike The Researcher and Mike Power five decades later.  This picture from a half century ago is IRREFUTABLE PROOF AND IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE that I was part of that original wave of G.I. Joe figures.  Golden Anniversary.

My First Pair Of Shoes From 50 Years Ago 50th Anniversary Tradition In Bronze

It is December 24, 2025.  I have, for you, some personal history in this video.  In 1975, I wore this pair of shoes.  They were bronzed which was tradition for a child's shoes back then.   Some of you will recall.  I still have the entire presentation display from 50 years ago.  Very special.  I am very happy to have these half of a century later.

310th Anniversary Of Bach's "Bereitet Die Wege, Bereitet Die Bahn", And A Bach LP Thrift Store Purchase

It is December 22, 2025.  On this day, 310 years ago, Johann Sebastian Bach premiered the church cantata "Bereitet die Wege, bereitet die Bahn" (In English, "Prepare The Paths, Prepare The Road") in front of a live audience for the fourth Sunday of Advent.  I was driving home this evening and passed a thrift store.  I decided to walk in.  I had not been in that thrift store in a while.  Thrift stores ain't what they used to be as many of you know.  I walked in, and what did I find?  Very fitting.  Very apropos.  FIVE Johann Sebastian Bach LP albums.  No scratches.  It appears as if these were never ever played.  $1.99 EACH.  The spirit of Johann Sebastian Bach looking out for me on this day.

Attending The Masons Lodge Stamp Show In Burlington, NJ On December 20, 2025

Yesterday, I attended the Masons Lodge Stamp Show In Burlington, New Jersey.  It was the first stamp show that I ever attended.  Very historic day for me - I had been waiting a long time to attend a stamp show.  I found numerous specimens with a priority on early German from the 1800s.  Below are the stamps and related material that I purchased.

Christmas Village At Veterans Park In Clementon/Gloucester Township, NJ On December 13, 2025

Clementon or Gloucester Township (I see both referenced) in New Jersey hosted its Christmas Village tonight, December 13, 2025.  Included in the village were a holiday carousel, a lighted train, tractor with sleigh, vendors, faux snow and much more.  A large crowd attended.

Dickens Festival On Main Street In Medford, NJ On December 06, 2025

On Saturday night, December 06, 2025, Main Street in Medford, New Jersey hosted its massively-popular Charles Dickens Festival.  The event saw a huge turnout with certainly 10,000+ attendees.  There was much to see and do at this festival: fake snow shooting into the air, multiple areas with the Dickens Festival banner backgrounds for photo opportunities, a sleigh to sit in, two horses pulling a wagon, pony rides, animals in a Nativity display, several groups of carolers and musicians, people on stilts, magicians, an area for ice skating, historic homes, stores, The Grinch with The Grinch Mobile and much more.  To me, this was an incredible experience.  Indeed a five-star event.

Shoreline Vintage And Antiques in Richland, New Jersey held their third annual Holiday Market And Customer Appreciation Event yesterday, December 06, 2025.  There is much to see inside of the Shoreline Vintage And Antiques store.  A vast array from toys and comic books to holiday blowmolds and antique household items to plenty more is present on the premises.  It is a multi-vendor establishment.  Walking through it will take at least an hour for those who look at every shelf and display case.

Whitall House Candlelight Tour In National Park, NJ On December 05, 2025

Last night, I attended the Whitall House Candlelight Tour on Revolutionary War Red Bank Battlefield in National Park, NJ.  Copious decorations were abound as I was face-to-face with authentic artifacts from the 1600s and 1700s.  A steady crowd throughout ... a big success.
