The Superman #3 Comic Book First Appeared On Newsstands 85 Years Ago On November 15, 1939

Superman #3 appeared on the newsstands 85 years ago on November 15, 1939.  I filmed the video below yesterday on the 85th anniversary of the Golden Age comic book's debut appearance on the shelves.  I procured this copy in 1994 or 1995.  I made $60 per week at Toys-R-Us back then.  The book was $150.  I had to put it on layaway for four weeks ($40-$40-$40-$30) in order to acquire it.

Photographs ...

After owning it for roughly three decades, I finally started reading it.  This photograph was taken on October 14, 2024.  The Halloween decorations are quite noticeable.  Otherwise, there is so much to discuss here.  I purchased that Megadeth t-shirt with paper route money in 1988 [a company sold their flawed specimens (See the damage at the top of the shirt?) for $2.50 each at the Cherry Hill Race Track Flea Market].  I got the Transformers bed set in 1984/1985.  I was in that cradle in front of the bed in 1974.  One Yoda puppet has been on the bed frame since the 1980s.  The other Yoda puppet has been on the bed frame since the 1990s after being purchased at a yard sale.  The Trix Rabbit was a dollar store acquisition in 1992/1993.  There are five Talking Freddy dolls.  Two are hidden.  My mom procured five at Bradlees clearanced at $2.50 each in 1989.  She gave one away so I bought another in 2015 to keep the set of five intact.  Time stands still at my place.
